'You Can't Make This Stuff Up:' Hillsboro Family's Photos Go Viral

HILLSBORO • A Facebook post of a Hillsboro couple’s family portraits has gone viral.

Dave and Pam Zaring shared a series of photos they said a St. Louis area photographer took of their family.

Shadows on the family members’ faces required some editing, according to the Zarings’ Facebook post, and the final result wasn’t what they expected. The faces appear airbrushed, cartoonish and artificial.

The photos have gotten more than 300,000 shares on Facebook.

Dave Zaring told the Post-Dispatch that he and his wife have no ill will toward the photographer.

The photographer declined to comment on the record to the Post-Dispatch about the photos.
